MASON CITY, IOWA - Lynne Louise Wisman, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2010, at Muse Norris Hospice after a recurrence of her cancer. All of her family was with her.

Lynne Louise Pearson was born on April 13, 1941, in Charles City, Iowa, to Lynn (Tex) Pearson and Louise Pearson. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School through first grade in Mason City, and then lived in Charles City again, before moving to Oelwein, where she attended school through tenth grade. She moved back to Mason City with her family in 1957 and has been a life-long resident ever since.

Lynne was united in marriage to Theodore (Ted) John Wisman at United Methodist Church on Oct. 28, 1960. They are the parents of four children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Ted's nickname for Lynne was "Lovey" and it was used throughout their marriage. It was an appropriate name as she was full of love, life, and laughter and she bestowed those gifts upon her family and friends. She lived life to its fullest and appreciated nothing more than a zany situation that made her laugh.

She was quick-witted and was always able to look at life's follies from her own unique perspective. She had often told her family that she had lived a full, rich life and had no regrets.

No description of Lynne would be complete without mentioning her creativity and artistic talents. She sketched, painted in pastels and oils, enjoyed ceramics, pottery and photography. However the last and greatest expression of her talent was her writing. She made us laugh, she made us cry, but most of all she had a way of making us reflect on our own lives. We will all miss her and her weekly column but her writing is a legacy left to us all.

Her parents, whom she dearly loved, preceded Lynne in death.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ted Wisman. She is also survived by her children, John and Allie Wisman, Robert Wisman, Holly and Ken Sagar, Mary and Karl Maiwald; and her daughter-in-law, Karen Wisman, the mother of Max and Jonathan Wisman. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Max and Jonathan Wisman, Nick Mennen, Jesse, Charlie and Molly Maiwald; and great-grandson, Keaton Mennen. Her two sisters, Nancy Gunther and Marsha Bailey, of Camarillo, Calif. and her brother, Frank Pearson, of Mason City, also survive Lynne.

A time of reflection and reminiscing will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E. Mason City. Please come ready to share stories and thoughts if you would like.

A gathering for friends and family will be from 5 p.m. until service time.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Hospice of North Iowa. Condolences may be share with the family at www.Fullertonfh.com . Fullerton Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 641-423-8676; www.Fullertonfh.com .
