G. Harshman succumbs to heart attack
CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Grossman-Hage Funeral Home for Grayson B. Harshman, 63, of rural New Hampton. He died Tuesday at his home following a heart attack.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, in Charles City, with military rites by the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Harshman was born January 2, 1898 in Jerusalem, Maryland, the son of William and Anna Smith Harshman. May 27, 1926, he was married to Elisa Manning at Washington, D.C. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a retired farmer and Oliver employee.
Survivors include his wife, three brothers, Ralph, Waterloo; Claude, Zanesville, Ohio; Guy, Myersville, Maryland; a sister, Mrs. John Ward, Cleveland, Ohio.
