Jamie L. Fox, 33, of Greene, died February 27, 2010, in an accident.
Funeral services for Jamie Fox will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. Pastor David Werges and Pastor Dennis Niezwaag will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Friends may call at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will continue an hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
Jamie Lee Barr was born January 20, 1977, at Charles City, the daughter of Steven and Diane (Sabin) Barr. She graduated from Charles City High School. On March 30, 1996, she was united in marriage to Chet Fox at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. Jamie was employed at Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City as a secretary. She coached girls’ softball in Greene and was very active in her girls’ activities. Her interests included jewelry making, arts, crafts, camping, boating, outdoors, animals, hobby farming and spending time with her family.
Living family members include her husband, Chet Fox of Greene; three daughters, Allison, Kaylie and Hannah Fox all of Greene; parents, Steve and Diane Barr of Charles City; sister, Angie (Tim) Ross of Austin, Minn.; brother, Doug (Amber) Barr of Tecumseh, Okla.; maternal grandmother, Agnes Sabin of Oelwein; paternal grandparents; Roland and Annette Barr of Mercedes, Tex.; parents-in-law, Shelley Fox of Cresco and David Fox of New Haven; and many aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great grandparents; and maternal grandfather, Alvin Sabin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or the Ronald McDonald House.
