MARBLE ROCK, IOWA - Oct. 20 — Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ann Judd, who died at her home here Friday, October 16, 1925, were held in the Methodist church at Marble Rock Sunday afternoon. The sermon was preached by Rev. James Gallagher, Cedar Falls, assisted by Rev. B. E. Shaffer, Marble Rock. Songs were sung by Patricia Wolster Bredt, Hampton; Mrs. Mary Barber, Raymond B. Reis and Ralph D. Wolster, accompanied by Mrs. S. W. McNinch.

Interment was in Hillside cemetery here, beside her husband, Abraham Judd, a veteran of the Civil war, who died three years ago.

Mrs. Judd was formerly Ann Kocher and was born at Stockton, Pennsylvania, July 25, 1843. She was united in marriage to Abraham Judd Jan. 30. 1866, at Clarksville, Iowa. They moved to Marble Rock and resided here until they passed away.

She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Cheevers, Hibbing, Minnesota, and Mrs. Pearl Denny; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; also 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

OBITUARY OF ANN KOCHER JUDD

Ann Kocher was born July 27, 1843, at Stockton, Pennsylvania. In the year 1855, she came to Dixon, Illinois, where she resided until 1861, when she moved to Clarksville, Iowa. Here on January 30, 1966, she was married to Abraham Judd.

They moved to Marble Rock, Iowa, where they resided until death called Mr. Judd in August, 1922, and Mrs. Judd, October 16, 1925.

Two daughters remain to mourn the death of a devoted mother, Mrs. Nellie Cheevers, of Hibbing, Minnesota, and Mrs. Pearl Denny, of Cedar Rapids. There are also twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, one brother, George Kocher of Clarksville and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Ellsworth, of Humboldt, Iowa.

Mrs. Judd has been very ill for nearly three weeks and during this time she has been tenderly cared for by her daughters, her son-in-law, William Denny and his sons, of Cedar Rapids. Every wish was granted and her last days on earth made as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

Mrs. Judd loved her family and her friends and was in turn beloved by all who knew her. Her life has been one of service faithfully performed. Her heart was kind and her hand was willing.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at Marble Rock, on Sunday afternoon. The sermon was preached by Rev. James Gallagher, of Cedar Falls, assisted by Rev. E. E. Shaffer, the present pastor.

The body was laid to rest beside her husband in Hillside Cemetery at Marble Rock.
