CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Kathlene E. Boggess, 63, of 707 Sixth Ave., Charles City, died Tuesday (March 16, 2010) at the 11th Street Chautauqua in Charles City.

A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, with Pastor Ed Bard officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. and continue until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.

Kathlene was born on November 25, 1946 in Page, Nebraska, the daughter of John C. and Vennette (Stevens) Emerson. She had been a resident of Charles City for 43 years. Kathlene was united in marriage to Kenneth Boggess on November 9, 1968 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kenneth; son, Kelly Boggess; siblings, Merrylee (Lester) Johnson, Chris (Gene) Johnson, John (Sandy) Emerson, Jim (Donna) Emerson, Maggie (Norman) Benson, Patricia (Joe) Clappier and Michael (Susan) Emerson; and special friends, the Stewart family, Dean, Sara, Ryan, Nick and Adam.
