Charles City, IowaDale Nehls, 40, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Charles City, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at his home.
Pastor Debra Lincoln of Jordan River and Colwell United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Dale Arthur Nehls was born August 7, 1969, at Charles City, the son of Clair and LaDonna (Simerson) Nehls. He graduated from the Charles City High School, received his Bachelors Degree from Luther College and attended Iowa State.
Dale had been employed for several years at Principal Financial Group in Mason City. His interests included playing guitar and listening to music. Dale also looked forward to the times spent with his family.
Living family members include three brothers, David (Charlotte) Nehls of Charles City, Doug Nehls of Norwalk and Daniel “Pete” Nehls and special friend Toots of New Hampton; seven sisters, Mary (Gary) Druehl of Colwell, Karen (Bob) Roethler of Charles City, Diana (Dean) Bucknell of Charles City, Susan (Steve) Redmond of Charles City, Chris (Tony) Byers of Colwell, Cathy (Randy) Nibaur of Austin, Minn. and Theresa (David) Turpen of Webster City; a foster brother, Bill (Edna) Wynniger of Lansing; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dennis Nehls; and a nephew, Scott Druehl.
