Kenneth Feltz

Kenneth R. Feltz, 64, of Woden, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, at the Mercy Medical Center, Mason City. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Temple Baptist Church, 1211 S. Kentucky Avenue, with Pastor Ed Bard officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be at a later date. Ken R. Feltz was born May 12, 1939, in Riceville, Iowa, the son of Norman and Beatrice (Schellenberg) Feltz. He attended Charles City High School, graduating in 1957. Ken worked at Oliver Tractor Co. in Charles City, and E.F. Johnson and Sperry Univac, both in Clear Lake. He owned and operated That Place Cafe in Garner for eight years. The last five years he worked at Waldorf College-Food Service in Forest City. Ken enjoyed fishing, home remodeling and family vacations.

Those left to cherish Ken's memory are his companion of 22 years, Diana Bork of Woden, and her six children: Susan Pieters and her husband, Roland, of Holland, The Netherlands, Richard Lemon and his wife, Edna, of Salem, Mass., Steve Lemon and his wife, Carole, of Garner, Melissa Orlando and her husband, Nick, of West New York, N.J., Gilbert Lemon of Boston, Mass., and Matt Bork of Garner; Grandchildren: Kaia, Alena, Jessie, Vivian, Edna, Amanda, Brittany, Winston, Ashley, Anna, Jason, and Krystal; his brothers Vernon Feltz of Charles City, and Duane Feltz and his wife, JoAnn, of Allison; his sisters Bernice Petersen and her husband, Virgil, of Pipestone, Minn., Beverly Sorensen and her husband Bert of Grand Meadow, Minn., Patricia Lynch and her husband Gaylan of Charles City, and Sharon Bilharz and her husband Richard of Great Falls, Mont.; and a brother-in-law, Wallace Ritter of Charles City.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Stanley and Harlan Feltz, and a sister Lorraine Ritter.
