Army dentist succumbs to heart attack

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Fort Campbell, Kentucky,
for Lt. Col. Marvin H. Kuhn, 49, former resident here. He. died at Fort Campbell Saturday, following a heart attack. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at a Keokuk military
cemetery.

Kuhn, whose family lived here several years during his high school days, later moved to Nora
Springs, where his mother, Mrs. Dan Kuhn, died about a month ago. He practiced dentistry here from 1939 to 1941 when he entered the Army at Fort Snelling, Minnesota, as a dentist. He had been in the service ever since.

A graduate of the University of Iowa, Iowa City, he was a varsity football player, at the University and also in high school here.

He is survived by his wife, the former Marcella Busch of Calmar; a daughter, Carol Lynn, 14, both of Fort Campbell; his father, Dan Kuhn, and his grandmother, Mrs. Harriett O'Keefe, both of Nora Springs.
