Pauline "Lena" Bauer

Funeral services were held Friday May 5, 1995 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church for Mrs. Louis (Pauline "Lena") Bauer, 89, a resident of 1556 Quarry Road, Floyd. Reverend Dennis Niezwaag, senior pastor, officiated and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery. She died Wednesday, May 3, 1995 at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City.

Pauline "Lena" Minnie Landers Bauer was born March 21, 1906 at Green the daughter of August and Mary Bruns Landers. She received her education from the Mt. Nebo country school in rural Butler County. On July 1, 1939, she was united in marriage to Louis Bauer. The couple farmed in the Floyd area for many years.

She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Louis on February 2, 1963; a son, Gary; two brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Roger and Ellen, of Waverly and Keith and Deb of Floyd; a brother, Otto Landers of Greene; and a sister, Martha Wefel of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Janelle, Kathryn, Julie and Brian Bauer.
