Tina J. Hardy

Tina J Hardy, 49, of Minneapolis, Minn., passed away Thursday (Feb. 4, 2010) at the University of Minnesota Medical Center of congestive heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.

A memorial will be held at the Spectrum Lighthouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Tina bequeathed her body to the University of Minnesota Science Department.

Tina was born March 25, 1960, to Jack and Norma (Dornon) Hardy in Minneapolis, Minn. At the age of 10 the family moved to Charles City. She graduated from Charles City High School in 1978. Tina married Bill Bohannon in 1980. To this union two sons were born.

She later moved back to Minnesota where she resided until her death.

Tina always had a good outlook of life which flowed into many friendships and lives she had touched through the years. She never let obstacles keep her from enjoying each day and getting on her scooter and "just going." She was an inspiration to her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, William (Tiffany) Bohannon and James (Nicole) Bohannon, both of West Plains, Mo., four sisters, Tara (David) Vancil of Galesburg, Ill., Karla (Jeffrey) Unruh and Karin Peters, both of Fairview, Okla., and Georgia (William) Stonecypher of Clear Lake; one half-sister, Beverly (Carl) Cornell, of Texas; a special friend, Steve Reetz; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a half-brother, Jack George (Butch) Hardy; and grandson, Thomas James Bohannon.
