Charles City, IowaBeverly E. Hibner, 80, of Charles City, died Saturday, February 6, 2010, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City after a courageous struggle with cancer.
Beverly Elaine Loomis Hibner was born October 10, 1929, at Osage, the daughter of Lee and Helen (Pint) Loomis. She graduated from the Floyd High School. On March 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles Hibner at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They farmed and raised livestock near Charles City. Beverly was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Charles City Senior Citizens. Some of her favorites included cooking, flower gardening, playing cards, fishing, camping and listening to bluegrass music.
Beverly always enjoyed special times with her family and friends and dog Minnie watching the beauty of wildlife around the pond. Beverly’s family was always very precious to her and she was thankful for the time she had to share her life with them.
Living family members include her husband, Charles Hibner of Charles City; a daughter, Diane Shearman and fiancé Aaron Hobert of Charles City; and a granddaughter, Sarah Shearman of Ankeny.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
