Cathy ``Coke'' Paulson, 45, of 812 W. 10th Ave. N., died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 1995) at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Galilean Lutheran Church, Highway 18 West, with the Rev. John Beck officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Cathy Jo was born May 3, 1950, in Charles City, the daughter of Wesley Madsen and Shirley Madsen (nee) Sutton. She grew up in Charles City and graduated from Charles City High School in 1968. She attended North Iowa Area Community College and graduated from Mason City School of Cosmetology.

Coke worked in Forest City and Clear Lake as a hairdresser. In recent years she was the volunteer coordinator for Galilean Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, and also attended North Iowa Area Community College. She was interested in the arts and painting. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and reading. She loved spending time with family and friends. Cathy was a member of Galilean Lutheran Church and Galilean Lutheran Church Diners Club, and various card clubs.

Survivors include two sons, Eric Paulson, Tempe, Ariz., and Bret Paulson, Clear Lake; her parents, Wesley and Shirley Madsen, Charles City; three brothers, Greg Madsen and his wife, Beth, Hopkins, Minn.; Doug Madsen and his wife, Mary Jane, Waverly, and Rob Madsen and his wife, Gayle, Littleton, Colo.; many nieces and nephews; and numerous special friends.
