Retired Stockbuyer of Nora Springs Dies

Nora Springs, Iowa — Funeral services will be held Friday in the Lutheran church in Nora Springs, at 2 p.m. for H.J. Buckmann, 59, who died Tuesday in Mercy hospital in Mason City. The Rev. Walter Pfeffer, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in the Nora Springs cemetery.

Mr. Buckmann had been in ill health approximately a year He retired from the livestock business in 1948.

He was born Nov. 10, 1890, in Floyd county and had lived in and around Nora Springs his entire life. Mr. Buckmann was a member of the Lutheran church in Nora Springs and attended Cedar Valley college in Charles City.

On Jan. 22, 1913, he was married to Bertha Ebert of Bassett.

He is survived by his widow, son Robert; his mother, Mrs. Matilda Buckmann, 91, and sisters,
Mrs. Louise Jerrell and Mrs Bertha Frudden, all of Nora Springs, and a sister, Nolle M Buckmann, Des Moines.
