Charles City, Iowa – Funeral services were here Monday for Hans Peter Jorgensen, 76, who died at the Christy Convalescent Home at Cedar Falls Saturday.

He was born July 10, 1870, in Denmark, the son of Peter and Stena Jorgensen.

He married Johanna Nelson in 1891, shortly after coming to America, where they settled on a farm near Reinbeck.

Two daughers, Mrs. Hans Buhl, Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Arthur Rasmussen, Cedar Falls were born to this union.

Mrs. Jorgensen dying at Reinbeck in 1896. Later Mr. Jorgensen went to Cedar Falls, where he married Catherine Hendricksen to which union there were born three sons, Charles and Earl, Charles City, and George, Rudd. They farmed in and around the Charles city community.

He leaves one step-daughter, Mrs. Harvey Morris, South Gate, California, and several grandchildren.
