Rites held for
Fred H. Meyers
at Charles CityCHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at St. John Lutheran Church for Fred H. Meyers, 63, who died Thursday night at the Cedar Valley Hospital of a heart condition. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery with the Grossman-Hage Funeral Home in charge.
He was born in Niles Township March 8, 1898, the son of August and Alvina Krumrey Meyers. He received his education in the rural schools in Floyd County.
On January 8, 1919, he was married to Florence Butler at New Hampton. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and was a retired painter and interior decorator.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Dean Meyers, Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. K. E. Rask, Manchester, Conn.; Mrs. William Fowler, Los Angeles, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
