CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grossman Funeral Home for Reka E. Begeman, 83, who died at the Cedar Valley Hospital Sunday at 2:15 a.m., where she had been admitted Saturday. Death was attributed to complications due to her advanced age. The Rev. W. A. Bischoff, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church of which she was a member, will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
She had been a resident of 900 South Main Street since 1937. She was born at Albany, Oregon, October 15, 1873, the daughter of Theodore and Theda Cook Begeman. She was educated in the Pleasant Grove Township rural school.
Miss Begeman is survived by one brother, Theodore Begeman, and two sisters, Mrs. James Welton and Mrs. C.W. Bailey, and two nephews, Glenn Welton and Howard Begeman, all of Charles City.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
