RUDD, IOWA - Gladys M. Darter, 76 of Osage, formerly of Rudd, died Monday (July 8, 1996) at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Rudd Wesleyan Church, Rudd, with the Rev. John Hand and the Rev. Albert Fookes officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m, today at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Gladys M. Darter was born March 13, 1920 in Stuart.

Survivors include her husband, Peter, of Osage, three daughters, Joy Beckman of Nora Springs, Betty Balkenende of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Vera Blair of Gladstone, Missouri; one son, Roy Darter of Welches, Oregon; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Caruso of Sacramento, California.

She was preceded in death of her parents, one brother, one daughter and two grandchildren.
