Charles City, IowaWreatha L. Swab, 84, of Charles City, died Saturday morning, November 7, 2009, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Pastor Gary Van Wert of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City will officiate at the funeral. There will be no visitation.
Wreatha LaVonne Williams was born May 27, 1925, at Shell Rock, the daughter, of Roy and Ella (Kublank) Williams. She graduated from the Shell Rock High School. On April 20, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert Swab at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Her interests included raising and showing Arabian horses, animals, fishing, shopping, going out to eat and spending time with her family.
Living family members include her daughter, Teresa Nelson of Duluth, Minn.; four grandchildren, Melanie Nelson, Amy Nelson, John Nelson and Leah (Randy) Ritzko; great granddaughter, Violet Ritzko; two sisters, Dorothy Nichols of Cedar Falls and Margaret Lenius of Waverly; brother, Kenneth Williams of Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Lucille Burns; and three brothers, Estel, Forest and Clyde Williams.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the YMCA, 800 Hulin St. Charles City, IA 50616.
