NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Nora Springs, for Eva G. Wrench, 84, of Nora Springs, who died Monday (April 28, 1986), at a Mason City Hospital.
The Rev. David Guetzke will officiate and burial will be in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday until 12:30 p.m. at Hogan-Bremer-Scheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, and at the church until time of services.
Mrs. Wrench was born December 12, 1901, in Nora Springs to Seth and Daisy (Banister) Chenney. She attended school in Nora Springs and married Lenord Wrench June 16, 1920, in Nora Springs.
Mrs Wrench worked as a nurse for many years in the North Iowa area, as a private nurse and also at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Mason City. She also assisted her husband in the farming operation in the Nora Springs area.
She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, American Lutheran Church Women and Altar Guild, and Adult Study Class at the church. She was on the Mission Review Committee for the Nora Springs Care Center, was a Gold Star mother and member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Lenord, one son, Edward, Denver, Colo; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Lela Shugar, Mason City; and Muriel Phillips, Oakland, Calif.
