MRS. L.E. REED DIES FOLLOWING HEMMORRAHAGE
Mrs. L.E. Reed, 78, a resident of the 703 5th Ave., died last night at 7:35 p.m. at the Cedar Valley Hospital where she has been a patient for the past two and a half weeks. She has been in failing health the past summer with a heart ailment, and suffered a cerebral hemmorage after entering the hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hauser Funeral Home. The Rev Paul H. Heath, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate.
Survivors include her husband: two daughters, Mrs. James Oliver of Des Moines, and Mrs. Charles Walter of Lemont, Illinois; three sons Robert E. Reed of Fort Knox, Kentucky, Glenn H. Reed of Arlington Texas, and E. Smith Reed of New Haven, Connecticut, and 11 grandchildren.
Mrs. Reed was a member of the First Methodist Church and of the Eastern Star. She was a lifelong resident of Floyd County and was born in Ulster Township, Feb. 3, 1882.
She married L.E. Reed July 31, 1907 in Charles City.
