CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Hauser Funeral Horn for Mrs. Melvin Jung, 49, who died Wednesday afternoon at the Cedar Valley Hospital. She bad been a patient there for the past 10 days. Death resulted from cancer. She had been in failing health for the past three years.

The Reverend Albert Fookes, pastor at the Howardville Westeyan Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens near Charles City.

Mrs. Jung was born April 15, 1908 in Niles Township, Floyd County, the daughter of Walter and Nettie Wiltse Lynch.

She was married to Melvin Jung on January 27, 1924. She had lived at her farm home 10 miles north of Charles City since 1941 and had been a lifelong resident of Floyd County.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Randall Bohlen and Gordon Jung, both of near Colwell; Richard and Janice Jung, both living at home. Also surviving is her father Charles City, four brothers and two sisters, Ray Lynch, Almon Lynch and Jesse Lynch, all of Charles City, and Nate Lynch, Downey, Calif.; Mrs. Lawrence Mathews and Mrs. Kenneth Bluhm, both of Charles City.

Her mother, two brothers, and one sister, preceded her in death.
