Minnie Miller rites Tuesday

CHARLES CITY,IOWA -- Funeral services were held Tuesday at the First Christian Church for Mrs. Minnie Miller, age 79. She died Sunday morning at the Cedar Valley Hospital.

She had been a resident of the Charles City Nursing Home for the past three years. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with the Grassman-Hage Funeral Home in charge.

Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on May 2, 1881, she was the daughter of Jake and Mary Collins Friend. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons; Clifford and Clayton Miller; a daughter, Mrs. John Koeneke, all of Charles City; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Palmer, Malta, Montana.
