FORMER CHARLES CITY MAD DIES IN ALABAMA

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — F.A. LaPorte, Marion, Alabama, died on Monday morning at his plantation there. LaPorte at one time owned extensive farm land in the vicinity of Floyd Crossing, which he traded for an Alabama plantation.

Service will be Wednesday in Paw Paw, Illinois.
