CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Blanche E. Thompson, 86, formerly of 2105 Clark St., and the Oak Park area, died Saturday, June 15, 1996, at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., with the Rev. Arthur C. Wegner Jr., pastor of the Faith Bible Chapel, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Blanche E. Thompson was born Oct. 17, 1909, in Des Moines, Iowa.

She is survived by five children, Earl Thompson of Missouri; Otis "Lyle" Thompson of Perry; Neal Thompson of Nashua; Doris Wilson of Charles City; David Thompson of Hinkley, Minn., and Rose Mary Dawson of Dallas, Texas; 30 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three children, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
