CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Kenneth J. Palmer, 68, of Charles City, died Saturday, April 13, 1996, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Highway 18 and Clark St., Charles City, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Charles City, with military graveside honors conducted by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 502 Clark St. St. Theresa's Circle will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. and there will be a parish vigil scripture service at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Immaculate Conception Church.

Kenneth James Palmer was born February 20, 1928, in Charles City.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of Charles City; four children, Betsy Schroeder and her husband, Loran of Iowa Falls, Mike Palmer and his wife, Lisa of Hiawatha, Kathy Frey and her husband, John of Monroe, Wis. and Barbara Palmer of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Bernard Palmer of Charles City; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Klingseis of Ames and Mary Lou Minard of Spirit Lake; and seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother.

Kenneth J. Palmer, 68, of Charles City, died on Sunday, April 13, 1996, of an apparent heart attack.

Services were Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Charles City, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Among survivors are a son, Mike of Hiawatha; and a daughter, Barbara of Cedar Rapids.
