CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Irene B. Jermier, 86, of Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home and formerly of 106 Rob Roy Lane, Charles City, died Monday (July 24, 1995) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be further visitation one hour before services at the church. Those wishing to consider an expression of sympathy may consider a memorial to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church or direct the memorial to the family.

Irene B. Jermier was born July 8, 1909, in Vinton.

Survivors include her husband, George Jermier, of Charles City; five children Dorothy Shahan of Charles City; Kathryn Zanger of Snohomish, Wash.; Donald Jermier of Stamford, Conn.; John "Jersey" Jermier of Cedar Falls and Michael Jermier of Urbandale; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
