CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Funeral services are incomplete at the Grossmann Funeral Home for Mrs. Gerda O. Benda, 68, who died at the Cedar Valley Hospital here on Monday.

Born in Norway, March 9, 1887, the daughter of Frank and Marie Olson Kellgren, she attended rural school near Cresco, Iowa. On June 17, 1913 she was married to Frank Benda in Mason City, Iowa. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and Tabitha Circle.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Robert benda, Houston, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Melvin, Charles City; two brothers, Christ Kellgren, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and John Kellgren, Canada; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Kennedy, Kansas City, Missouri; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
