CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Mildred Block, 98, formerly of 202 Second Ave. in Charles City, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 S. Main St. in Charles City, with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in Charles City.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt Street, Charles City, and again one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Burns Institute, the Salvation Army or to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.
