ROCKFORD, IOWA - Thomas F. Derenthal, 59, of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, died on Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Rockford, with the the Rev. Roger Katz officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Schumburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Derenthal was born in New Hampton on August 29, 1937, to August H. and Evelyn L. (Roarty) Derenthal. He attended school in the Mason City area after which he entered the Marines in 1956.

Mr. Derenthal moved to the Milwaukee, Wis., area in 1960 to follow his trade of machinist. He resided there until his death on Feb. 6, 1997.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn, of Rockford; three sisters, Kae (Mrs. Jim) Milota of Tacoma, Wash., Mary Ellen (Mrs. Mike) Allison of Rockford and Judy (Mrs. Roger) Boman of Golden, Colo.; a special friend, Barbara Wiereinski of Milwaukee; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, August.
