CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Harold O. Stephens, 81, of 811 Eighth Ave., formerly of Mason City, died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church, Charles City, with the Rev. J. Larry Vallery and the Rev. Debra Lincoln officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the New Hampton Cemetery, New Hampton.
Visitation was held Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., and there will be further visitation one hour prior to services today at the church.
Harold Oscar Stephens was born Jan. 9, 1917, in New Hampton.
Survivors include his wife, June Stephens, Charles City; two daughters, Janice Saunders, Charles City, and Joyce Kirkendall, of Saukville, Wis.; one son, Gerald Stephens, of Trenton, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Penny Webster, Charles City, and Mary Peshak, of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.
The family suggests memorials be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church or Hospice of North Iowa at Charles City.
