Lucile M. Zielstorf (1912-2008)

CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Lucile M. Zielstorf, 95, formerly of Charles City, died Monday, April 21, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center, Pine River, Minn.

She was born on October 15, 1912, in Charles City, daughter of Louis and Marie Wachsmuth Schroeder. On Sept. 3, 1937, she married Kenneth "Stoke" Zielstorf in Crown Point, Indiana. He is now deceased.

Mrs. Zielstorf was a homemaker and had worked at Parkers Grocery Store, Sherwin Nursery as a floral designer and also in the greenhouse and the Knitting Mill. She attended St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City.

Survivors include: a brother-in-law, Jay Schmidtke of Backus, Minnesota.

Preceded in death by: three sisters, Leona Carver, Lucinda Hallberg and Leatta Schmidtke; and twin brothers, Leonard and Leo Schroeder.

Services are at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, both in Charles City. Public visitation 5 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Thursday, both at the funeral home.
