Anna K. Haake

MASON CITY, IOWA - Anna K. Haake, 91, formerly of 21 S. Indiana Ave., Mason City, died on Thursday, Jan. 29, 1997, at the Nora Springs Care Center, Nora Springs, Floyd County, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 Fourth St. S.E., Mason City, with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Rockwell Cemetery.

There will be no visitation, the body was cremated. Major-Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., is in charge of arrangements.

Anna K. Haake was born December 12, 1905, in Rockwell, Iowa, the daughter of Karl and Anna (Roben) Haake. Anna attended Rockwell schools and then moved to Mason City. Anna was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking and baking for others. She also enjoyed raising flowers. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Rockwell.

Survivors include one sister, Emma Leach of Nora Springs; one half-sister, Esther Vosburg of Mason City; nephew's wife, Vivian ``LaVon'' Leach of Mason City; four nieces, Lucille Tisor and her husband, Tom, of Mason City, Donna Jean Vosburgh of Mason City, Donna Juhlin and her husband, Fred, of Nora Springs, and Delora Roberts and her husband, Kurt, of Mason City; four great-nieces, Linda Hanson and her husband, Kurt, of Nora Springs, Dena Gossweiler and husband, Mike, of Rockwell, Sandra Piippo and husband, Devin, of Portland, and Amy Tisor of Mason City; one great-nephew, Dennis Leach of Mason City; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
