CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Harold C. "Pete" Heise, 76, of 1655 Victory Ave., rural Charles City, died Saturday (July 19, 1997) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital of complications from injuries suffered in a car/train accident on June 16.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main and Gilbert streets, with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens south of Charles City.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt Street. The family will receive friends from 3 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Harold Charles "Pete" Heise was born July 31, 1920, in Ionia, Iowa.

Survivors include a daughter, Allison Foster of Ridgeway, Missouri; a son, Randy Heise of Charles City; a bother, Wilbur "Bill" Heise of Charles City; three sisters, Lucille Trappe, Bernice Troge and Florence Greenzwieg, all of Charles City; and five grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.
