Cindy Pitz, 51, of Colwell, Floyd county, Iowa, died on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Cindy Sue Chambers was born February 10, 1958, the daughter of Wesley and Zella (Wood) Chambers. She received her education at Colwell and Charles City. Cindy was the proprietor of the Colwell Tap and Grill since 1995. Her interests included gardening, decorating her home, organizing and going for rides with Ronnie.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor and witty disposition. Cindy always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking every opportunity to share her life with them.

Living family members include two daughters, Amy (Luis) Fitzgerald Santiago of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Michelle (Mark) Kirsch of Colwell; three grandchildren, Ashley and Alexis Kirsch and Ethan Santiago; her companion, Ronnie Hoffman of Colwell; her father, Wesley Chambers of Colwell; and three brothers, Leo (Denise) Chambers of Lakeville, Minnesota, Donald (Janet) Chambers of Ionia and Dennis (Lisha) Chambers of Colwell.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Zella.
