NORA SPRINGS, IOWA — Lillian Nelson, 92, of Nora Springs, died Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2005) at Nora Springs Care Center in Nora Springs.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at South Shellrock Cemetery, Northwood, Iowa, with the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St. in Clear Lake, is in charge of services.

Lillian was born in rural Northwood, Iowa, on July 29, 1912, the daughter of Andrew and Lena (Stene) Nelson. Lillian lived with her parents and later her brother on the family farm. She moved to Liberty Square, Nora Springs, Iowa, after her parents and brother died. Lillian enjoyed reading Reader Digest, newspapers, doing puzzles, going to county fairs, shopping and movies.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Myrtle Hanson, of Britt, Iowa; two nieces, Janice Kirschbaum and her husband, Jim, of Crystal Lake, and Joyce Gradoville, of Omaha, Neb.; and one nephew, Jerel Nelson and his wife, Miriam, of Omaha, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
