Alice Pearl Tetzloff was born October 13, 1913, in Baxter, Iowa, the daughter of William Henry and Fanny (Brown) Linn. Alice was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. In June of 1934 she was united in marriage to Glen Russell Tetzloff in Mitchell County, Iowa. She enjoyed gardening, reading and it was important to pass this task on to her grandchildren, solving crossword puzzles, sewing and tending to her strawberry patch. Alice was a member of the Colwell United Church of Christ, a 4-H leader, Sunday schoolteacher, employed as the Colwell City Clerk, the ladies aide and a great love and sense of knowing of the historical facts of Colwell.
Those grateful for having had the privilege of sharing in Alice's life are her four children, Robin Tetzloff of Bolingbrook, Illinois; Phil Tetzloff of Marshalltown, Iowa; Sharon Byers of Long Prairie, Minn., and Mary Appleby of Newton, Iowa; 11 Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in November of 1988; her 12 siblings and her parents.
Arrangements are at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt, Charles City.
