CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Terry Hoy, 61, a resident of 307 Pfeiffer Ave., Charles City, died Tuesday (July 1, 2003) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services for Terry Hoy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saint John Lutheran Church in Charles City, with the Rev. David Werges officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St. in Charles City, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Terry Lee Hoy was born March 18, 1942, at Charles City, the son of Marvin H. and Lucille (Streich) Hoy. He graduated from the Charles City High School in 1960.

On March 31, 1962, he was united in marriage to Linda Kellogg at the First Methodist Church in Charles City.

Terry was employed for 31 years at the Oliver and White Farm Equipment Company.

He was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church.

His interests included watching Hawkeye football and basketball, trout fishing, gardening, playing cards and times around the campfire while camping.

Terry’s family was very important to him and he devoted all the time he could to them.

Living family members include his wife, Linda, of Charles City; four children, Robert Hoy, Tim Hoy and fiancée, Lynn Kobliska, and Sonja (Kevin) Marvin, all of Charles City, and Cyndi (Scott) Huegli of Mason City; seven grandchildren, Maggie Hoy, Alex Marvin, Jory Marvin, Rebecca Hoy, Benjamin Hoy, Brandon Huegli and Brooke Huegli; two brothers, Marvin (Linda) Hoy of Prior Lake, Minn., and Alan (Sandra) Hoy of Cedar Falls; a sister, Sandra (Duane) Kellogg of Charles City; stepmother, Charlotte (Kermit) Klaver of Story City; a stepbrother, Tom (Anne) Allenstein of Kasson, Minn., and two stepsisters, Sharyl (Jeff) Dilling of Des Moines, and Julie (Dan) Randall of Globe, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Errol Hoy.
