NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Ida Frieda Kennedy, 86, of Bonham, Texas, and formerly of Nora Springs, died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Wise Funeral Home in Bonham with Russ Witte officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Park Cemetery in Nora Springs with the Rev. Lisa Locoh officiating.

Ida was born Aug. 6, 1916, in Yuma, Colo., the daughter of Frank Lester Viall and Lydia Moser Viall. She attended school in Nora Springs. Ida married Homer A. Winters in 1938 and he preceded her in death. She later married Charles A.S. Kennedy on Aug. 16, 1947, in Santa Ana, Calif., and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert F. Winters.

Ida is survived by two sons, Charles A.S. Kennedy, of Seattle, Wash., and Joseph W.H. "Billy" Kennedy, of Santa Monica, Calif.; three daughters, Rae-Lene Nickols,of Carthage, Mo., Cecilene H. "Cindy" Stevens, of Yuba, Okla., and Sammy Ceniti, of Ponca City, Okla.; one brother, Lloyd Lester Viall, of Kearnes, Utah; one sister, Viola Polsick, of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
