Robert 'Bob' Micich

Robert 'Bob' Micich, 83, formerly resided at 3065 170th St, Charles City, died Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 2003, at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa, in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City. Military Rites will be accorded by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, Charles City and visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to direct memorials to the family in care of his brother, Lozo Micich, 205 Hart St., Charles City, IA 50616.

Robert Micich was born October 3, 1920, in Charles City, the son of Luka and Julia (Kovachvich) Micich. He was the sixth child of eight children. 'Bob' as he was affectionately known by family and friends, grew up and attended school in Charles City. Robert honorably and faithfully served his country, a U.S. Army veteran during World War II. In March of 1950 Robert was united in marriage to Donna Andersen. 'Bob' was employed with Oliver-White in Charles City as a foundry worker, retiring with 30 years of service. Bob also enjoyed farming on his farm in rural Charles City and attending the V.F.W. in Charles City.

Those grateful for having had the privilege of sharing in Bob's life are his brother, Lozo Micich and his wife, Connie of Charles City; his sister, Dorothy Milich and her husband, Novak of Warren, Mich.; Bob will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna; two sisters, Angela Micich and Mary Walk; his three brothers, Bosko, George and Mike Micich.
