NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Lillian L. Glock, of Nora Springs, formerly of Rudd, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2003 at the Nora Springs Care Center after living her life to the fullest for 103 years.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 at the Rudd United Methodist Church, 611 6th Street, with Reverend Jim Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Monday. Lillian was born October 11, 1900 in Rudd, a daughter of Earnest and Lina (Hintzman) Schuster.

She grew up in the Rudd area, graduating from Rudd High School in 1920. Lillian was united in marriage to John F. Glock on July 3, 1922. They were lifelong farmers near the Rudd area. Lillian also worked for Farmer's Mutual Telephone Company as an operator for 12 years. She was a member of the Rudd United Methodist Church and the church circle. She also was a 50 year member of the Rudd American Legion Auxiliary and president for 12 years of the "Jolly Rudders." Lillian enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, flowers, gardening, and music of all kinds, playing the piano for many years.

Lillian will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John in 1969, and all of her siblings.

Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 North Hawkeye, Nora Springs, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Rudd United Methodist Church or the Nora Springs Care Center.
