CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Marie Cole, 85, formerly of 1307 D St. died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City of cancer.

Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Sunnyside Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunnyside Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to service time.

Marie was born March 29, 1918 at Osage to Carl and Marie Richsmann. On Sept. 25, 1946 she was united in marriage to Wesley G. Waterman in Charles City. He died in October, 1970 and on Nov. 3, 1973 Marie married Wayne H. Cole. He passed away January 23, 2000.

She had previously worked at the Osage Hospital.

Survivors include one son; Gerald Waterman of Illinois: two daughters; Colleen Ortmayer and Janice Barrett, both of Charles City: thirteen grandchildren and one sister; Dawn Taylor of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son, one step daughter and one sister.
