Clyde Marlow Bollman, age 91, of Charles City, died Feb. 23, 2003, after a brief illness. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Strawberry Point. Father Jack Paisley will officiate the service. Burial will be in Strawberry Point. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at Roberson Funeral Home in Strawberry Point, with a scripture service at 5 p.m.
Clyde Marlow Bollman was born on March 30, 1911, the son of Ira S. Bollman and Edna Perkins in Luana, Iowa. He graduated from Luana High School.
On June 26, 1935, Clyde married Lucille E. Burckart in Postville. He lived the greater part of his life in rural Strawberry Point and retired from farming. Clyde enjoyed his family, reading, gardening, bird-watching, and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Charles City; two daughters, Sharon (Jim) Kamoss of Charles City, and Sandra (Roger) Burr of Strawberry Point; two brothers, Everett (Dora) Bollman of Luana, and Leo Bollman of Monona; two granddaughters, Kelly (Scott) Sweet of Charles City, and Stacey (Derek) Wetterstrom of Medina, Minn.; one grandson, Dru (Jill) Burr of Waterloo; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; two brothers, Don and Avery; and two sisters, Leatrice Sharp and Helen Price.
Roberson Funeral Home in Strawberry Point is in charge of arrangements.
