SPRING VALLEY, MINN. - Irene Marie (Kruse) Carr, age 67, of Spring Valley, formally of Charles City, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2003 at the Hindt - Hutchins Funeral Home in Spring Valley, Minn. Private burial will be in Charles City on Monday, February 17, 2003.

Irene (Kruse) Carr was born May 5, 1935 in London, Minn. to Charles and Amy (Collins) Kruse. She graduated from Leroy High School and married H. Allen Carr on March 26, 1960 in Charles City.

She is survived by two daughters: Rhonda (Gail) Brogan of Spring Valley and Ann Marie Thomas of Lakeville, Minn.; one son, Robert Allen Carr of Birmingham, Ala.; eight grandchildren: Philip Leibold, Danny Leibold, Jenny Lynn Leibold, Cameron Marie Carr, Ginger Edna Carr, Taylor Miller Thomas, Christopher Brogan, and Bradley Brogan; five great-grandchildren: Kelly Sue Leibold, Katlynn Rose Leibold, Eric Brogan, Monica Brogan, and Kelsey Brogan; three sisters: Jackie Root of Mazeppa, Helen Johnson of Rochester, and Gail Shelstad of Mazeppa; one and brother, Glenn Kruse of Mable.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, and one brother.

Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in Spring valley is in charge of arrangements.
