Paul Becker, 84, of Nashua, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 10, 2003, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, Iowa, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at the United Methodist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Nashua. Military rites by Nashua V.F.W. Post #6792. Visitation will be from 4 -- 7 p.m. Monday at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Paul was born on December 7, 1918 on the family farm west of Nashua, in Floyd County, to Frank and Ida (Heise) Becker. He received his education from country schools and graduated from Nashua High School in 1936.
Paul served his country as a Tech 5 in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in Rhineland and Central Europe from 1942 to 1946. He farmed his entire life.
Paul is survived by one brother-in-law, Guy Lines, Sr., of Nashua; two nephews: Duane (Betty) Lines and Guy (Donna) Lines, Jr., all of Nashua; and by several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Hilda Lines, Renetta Becker and Pauline Becker.
Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
