Robert "Bob" E. Patterson, 67, of 801 Howard St., Charles City, Iowa, died Sunday December 29, 2002 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Niezwaag and Rev. David Werges officiating. Interment will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City and again one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Robert Patterson Memorial Fund to be dispersed to Hospice and the Mercy Cancer Center.

ROBERT E. 'BOB' PATTERSON

CHARLES CITY, IOWA- Robert "Bob" E. Patterson, 67, of 801 Howard St., Charles City, died Sunday (Dec. 29, 2002) at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag and the Rev. David Werges, officiating. Interment will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City and again one hour prior to service time on Thursday at the church.

Robert was born July 5, 1935, in Charles City, the son of Jay Walter and Ivy Luella. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1954.

Robert was united in marriage to Marlys (DeWalle) on Aug. 24, 1957, at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City where he was a member also.

Robert enjoyed woodworking, fishing, stock car racing, and coin collecting. He loved to spend time with his family, especially with his grandkids. Robert will be missed dearly by family and friends who shared his life.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Marlys; two sons, Quinn Patterson, his wife, Renee, of Sigourney, Iowa, and Kevin Patterson and his wife, Tina, of Charles City; one brother, William "Bud" Patterson and his wife, Marge, of Waterloo; a sister-in-law, Donna Patterson, of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Jodee, Dylan, Megan, and Emily; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris Joslin, and Mildred White; and one brother, Dale Patterson.
