IONIA, IOWA-- Lloyd Harley Robbins, 79, of 1915 200th Trail, Ionia , died Saturday morning, Dec. 14, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City from natural causes.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Sunnyside Funeral Chapel in Charles City with burial in Sunnyside Memorial Garden Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Lloyd Harley Robbins was born March 19, 1923, in rural Waterloo, the son of Roy and Ida (Spore) Robbins.
He was married to Arlene Kathrine Boldt on April 16, 1945 in Waterloo, Iowa. The couple resided in Black Hawk County until Aug. 12, 1961 when they moved to their farm in Chickasaw County, Iowa.
Lloyd was a carpenter and worked at Rath Packing Company. He retired from White Farm after 24 years in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Robbins; two sons, Lloyd E. (Janice) of Ionia, and Duane (Christine) of Charles City; one daughter, Cathryn Jenn of New Hampton; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold, and one sister, Dorothy Christoffersen.
Memorials may be directed to the family. Sunnyside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement
