Robert "Bob" Schrage, 63, a resident of 1835 Glass Avenue, Rudd, died Sunday, September 8, 2002, at the University Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.

Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Schrage will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rockford. The Rev. Patricia Shaw, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.

Robert Deane Schrage was born August 6, 1939, at Ottumwa, the son of Paul and Ida (Mueller) Schrage. He graduated from Rudd High School in 1956. On November 4, 1962, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Gerber at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church rural Osage. They farmed all their lives in the Rudd area and in recent years "Bob" also worked with road construction. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. "Bob" enjoyed spending time with his family leaving special time for the grandchildren, spending time outdoors, and restoring tractors.

Living family members include his wife, Evelyn of Rudd; four daughters, Carmen Staudt and husband Bill, and Lisa Lines both of Rockford, Judy DeGraw and husband Steve of Rockwell, and Suzie Ross and husband Brian of Charles City; ten grandchildren, Alisha and Nate Staudt, Chris, Kyle, and Cole Lines, Josh and Mackenzie DeGraw, Macy, Madison, and Brianna Ross; and a sister, Sandy Brandt of Mason City.

His parents preceded him in death.
