Julie Ellen (Cagley) Berding, 45, a resident of Charles City, died on Saturday, May 18, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Memorial services for Julie and her father will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City. Rev. Paul Phillips, pastor of the Gospel Lighthouse in Floyd, will officiate. There will be no public visitation as her body has been cremated according to her wishes. The family requests that no floral arrangements be sent.

Hauser Funeral Home of Charles City is in charge of arrangements.

Julie Ellen (Cagley) Berding was born April 6, 1957, in Charles City, the daughter of Hugh and Maryjean "Louise" (Ward) Cagley. Julie attended Charles City Schools. Following school she was united in marriage to Martin Berding and then later divorced. Julie was known by many as: having a green thumb, an excellent cook, avid reader of Laverle Spencer books, loving mother, and kind hearted. She was a very proud individual that inspired those whose lives she touched.

She will be truly missed by: one daughter, Amber Berding of Charles City; one son, Jeremy Cagley and fiance Kelley of Warrensburg, Missouri; one granddaughter, Shae Cagley of Warrensburg, Missouri; her mother, Maryjean "Louise" Cagley of Charles City; three brothers, Nick and wife Cheryl Cagley of Floyd, Jeffrey Cagley of Monterey, California, Wesley and wife Karla Cagley of Charles City; two sisters, Kelley and husband Brent Waid of Charles City, and Sherri Viers of Charles City; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews.

Her father preceded her in death only 14 hours earlier.
