Sherye Jacoby, age 62, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at her residence.

Sherye Lynn Jacoby was born July 27, 1946, at San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Kenneth and Minnie (Brown) Miller. She graduated from West Union High School in 1964 and from nurses training at North Iowa Area Community College in 1970. On March 30, 1979, she married Wayne Jacoby at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Sherye had worked as a nurse at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home and the Floyd County Medical Center. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Lay Carmelites.

Survivors include her father, Kenneth J. Miller and his wife Helen of West Union; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Sandy (Richard) Schnor of West Union.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
