Paul Williams, 75, of Charles City, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City.

Paul Edward Williams was born August 20, 1929, at Sentinel, Oklahoma, the son of Pross and Ruby (Lawley) Williams. He received his education at Sentinel. Paul proudly served in the United States Army during World War II.

On December 4, 1956, he was united in marriage to Mary Burns of Ft. Dodge at Tulsa, Oklahoma. Paul farmed and worked as a general contractor. He moved to Charles City in August of 2004. Paul was also a minister of the Gospel for Southern Evangelist Associates. His hobbies included fishing and raising, breaking and riding horses.

Living family members include four children, Anna (Wayne) Clark of Kingston, Arkansas, David Williams and his fiance Renee Ferch of Charles City, Paul Williams, Jr. of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Donna (Bob) Johnston of Ft. Dodge; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two children, Shirley Trout and Larry Williams.
